Some new potential hypoglycaemic drugs

Some new N-substituted aryl sulphonyl-N«SQ»ar-alkyl ureas and thioureas were screened for hypoglycaemic activity in rabbits. Their hypoglycaemic pattern resembles tolbutamide and chlorpropamide. The structural relationship, duration of hypoglycaemic action and toxicity are discussed.
