Platelet factor-3 and its modification by aspirin

1. This study was carried out on 40 healthy male subjects administered aspirin orally in dosages of 75, 150, 300 and 600 mg once only and their Platelet Factor-3 (PF3) release time was determined. 2. All doses of aspirin caused a significant inhibition of PF3 release which usually lasted for 3 days. 3. 600 mg of Aspirin was observed to exert maximal effect on PF3 release.
