Pharmacology and biochemical evaluation of Tridax procumbens on inflammation
PV Diwan, Karwande Iravati, I Margaret, PB Sattur
1. Tridax procumbens (T. P.) was evaluated on various inflammatory models in rats and mice.
2. T. P. has significantly reduced exudate volume leucocyte migration, edema fluid, grannuloma tissue and
(-glutamyl transpeptidase, indicates good anti-inflammatory action.
3. T. P. has negligible ulcerogenic property in comparison with NSAIAS.
4. T. P. causes anti-inflammatory activity through inhibiting SRs and PGs.
