Pyrantel pamoate. a broad spectrum anthelmintic, was investigated for its effect on the developmental stages of sheep hook worm, Haemonchus controlus. On infective larvae, pyrantel pamoate produced contracture and decrease in motility leading to irreversible. paralysis.
